The idol of the Devaki is portrayed in standing posture, with Lord Krishna as her own child placed between her legs. The statue has been created from black stone. This idol was sculpted to show love of a mother for her own son. The idol stands as an extremely unique piece of artwork which brings out the find bonding between the mother and the child.

The Malni Purnima is regarded the most popular festival of this temple which is celebrated with great fervour and pomp during the months of January and February. Malni Purnima festival attracts a huge number of worshippers and devotees from all over the state as well as outside. The other events and festivals celebrated at this temple include Navarathri festival, the anniversaries of this temple and Shri Chandika Yajna.
